Willard Bay excursion

We had one nice weekend somewhere in May, and so we took the kids to Willard Bay to go camping and play in the water. Here are some pictures from that trip.

What do you suppose he is saluting?

Breein wouldn't play in the water.

Cierra is helping her dad get the kayak out.

In the afternoon, we drove up to the Brigham City Bird Refuge. It was cool, I guess, but rather dull, and I won't be begging to go back for a while. But, here are a couple of pictures. This first one is all nests. I thought it amazing, how many there were.
We did see a large blue heron, but it flew away before I could get out the camera. Oh, but you should have seen it. Very majestic, even when it was flying away.

Last day of Disneyland

One of the most fun things (I think) that we did was the Lilo and Stitch character breakfast. It was the day before Brock's birthday, so we celebrated that while we were there.

Here he is blowing out his candle. And here he is enjoying his cake.

Here is Breein learning how to hula from Lilo.

Playing games with Stitch.

Breein's birthday present to Brock.

We finally got a picture with Goofy.

With Ariel

Last character of the trip. Brock was asleep.

Did you know Disneyland has a petting zoo?
Brock driving the bumper cars again.

And here we are waiting for my all-time favorite, the Electrical Light Parade. Still great, even though they have changed it some from when I was a kid, and my kids loved it just as much as I do.
After the parade we went back to the hotel for the last time. And here is the most peaceful picture we have from the trip.

Disneyland, day 4

Thursday was a warm day. We started in California Adventure Park.

The first ride we went on was the Raging Rapids. I took the girls on first (poor Brock wasn't tall enough). I loved it, the girls hated it. This is what we looked like when we got off. I think Breein and I got the worst of it. Great ride for a hot day, but make sure you wear pants that don't fall down when wet.

.

Then Brant got a turn. He didn't get as wet, but I got this picture of him on the ride that turned out pretty well.

Then we went to the Redwood Creek Trail, and the kids really enjoyed that. They had rope nets for climbing, slides, and a zip line.

They also had this little creek, and I love this picture of Brock holding up his shorts in ankle deep water.

Flik's Fun Fair was a big hit, just right for the little ones. Here are some pictures from that.

Breein in another silly pose.

Brock the firefighter.

Cierra surfing?

The last ride of the day was another dizzy one, so I took pictures again. Here are Brant and Brock. I couldn't get the girls.

Disneyland, day 3

Day 3 started with Toontown.

Sometimes I think this is where the kids belong. (Notice Breein posing in the background. She started posing for almost every picture, and most of them are funny and a little too exaggerated.)

They loved the houses of the characters.

Got to see Pluto.

We chased Goofy around for a few minutes and stood in a couple of makeshift lines , but he kept moving before we could snap a picture. Finally, I got tired of following him around and just took this one. That is obviously not my child, but at least maybe the kids will remember that I tried?

I don't like this picture. Why did I have to have my eyes closed? But, it is the only one of all of us in the same picture the entire trip. And the only one with Mickey.
We do have this cute one of the kids with him.Don't ask me who Brock is smiling at.

Cierra and Breein in front of Chip and Dale's treehouse.
And driving a toon car.

Hopefully this was a wishing well.I am not sure what Brock is doing.
I like this statue.

Cierra liked this enlarged artist's sketch.

The last thing that we did Wednesday was see the Pixar Play Parade, which was a lot of fun. Brock says this is his favorite picture.
